Ok maybe a lot! I actually had someone recently ask me “Why do you like them so much? Well it started several years ago when a friend said to me there is this company, it reminds me of you! So, of course, I had to check them out! Boots, holey jeans, t shirts and lots of jewelry! OH YEAH!! Instant connection! Since then I have been Warrenton bound twice a year and they have been one of my first stops each time I go. Did I mention JUNK! They make junk look good! So much inspiration! If you know me well enough, you’ll know I like trash! lol! “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!

The question did make me think a moment because I think they are so much more than that.  We share common interest and we are passionate about the heart and soul that goes into to our businesses. It’s not just a piece you buy or receive from us. It’s part of us. There is meaning, history, love and laughter and sometimes lots of tears. We share our lives with others and our customers and they pour their hearts out on us sharing their lives in return.

The Junk Gypsies now have their own HGTV show! I love being inspired by the Junk Gypsies! They make me dream a little bigger and the stars seem a little closer!

If you haven’t made it to Warrenton, mark your calendar for the spring and make a date for the prom! It’s a blast!

It was a fun relaxing drive! My first time in a Limo! Amy sang us the famous RED SOLO cup song!! and oh, yeah! OMG, we hit a deer!! Maybe not so relaxing, but eventful! haha!! The deer got up and ran off! scheew! Just very thankful we were all ok!

Now we pull up to the prom and the HGTV crew was waiting for our arrival! Probably the only time you may see me on the show, if that, but I’m totally ok with that! I had a blast watching everyone else!

We mingled, we danced, we people watched…there was some crazy creative attire I must say! A great time had by all!

I hit the road to Warrenton, Tx. for one of the largest antique shows. It’s twice a year! Spring and Fall. It’s something that I look forward to each year. It’s full of fabulous finds from all over! Like a huge scavenger hunt full of treasures! The vendors are fun, funky, vintage, retro, new, old, crazy, creative and have amazing inspiration!

 There is even a Junk O’Rama prom hosted by the Junk Gypsies that I attended for the first time!

Wow, crazy fun!

 

 I had to make a special piece, I think I am a gypsy at heart!

New things are in the works! Getting back into the groove!! I had taken a bit of time to reflect on my family, friends and business. A much needed time for me!

Our website is in progress of lots of new updates. New photos and shopping carts are also coming soon! Very excited to see what’s to come! As I will attempt to become a blogger (ha!ha!), you must bear with me. I’m not a writer or even an English major for that matter, probably more like a rambler! :)   but I hope you will enjoy the things to come!

One of the things that has been on my heart is becoming more personal with you, my clients. We all have so much to share and I have loved learning and being touched by the stories you have shared with me.  It would make my heart happy to share more of your stories on my blog that you have shared with me. You have given me so much love, laughter, hugs, tears and prayers. You have shared your life with me and touched others who have read your stories. You inspire others even in what may be your darkest hour. You’ve made my faith stronger by sharing yours. I’ve said that I want to ”dream big” and you believe in me to do so. You’ve allowed me to pray for you when you felt like you couldn’t. I have learned that when I’ve felt like I can’t pray anymore about a situation you teach me to pray more passionately.

 My work is much more than making a piece of jewelry. The purpose behind each piece I create brings me great joy and strength. In saying that I will also be sharing more personal stories about myself . It’s become my passion to touch the hearts of others. Though I fall from grace often my motto is “progress not perfection”.

About five years ago I started the Be Inspired Collection… I have a friend who was wearing this really unique tear drop shaped wire beaded pendent…I  thought about it for a short while, then decided to create my own. I wanted something different… I wanted it to mean something… So I did crosses – to remind us of “faith, hope, and love”…then I made a heart – the greatest of these is” love”… To make it a bit more challenging I made a star – you are made with a purpose, be a shining star and my kids’s school mascot are Allstars :) Last but not least was the tiara/crown (in retirement)! My savior is king and I am a princess! Which was also adopted by the  Tiara Team, an amazing group of  ladies who support breast cancer research.

So I contacted Kimberly about a cake for my daughters birthday celebration. All I had to tell her was Faith’s favorite color was pink and she took care of the rest! It was beautiful, pink and delicious!!! I mentioned that I make jewelry and loved to barter… so soon Kimberly will have a new necklace from the So Charming Collection!!

Christie Lacy amazes me everytime she pulls out her camera! She has such a vision and God given talent to see things through a lens that most people will never see. It’s more than a picture, it’s a moment in time! It’s a blink of an eye, something to hold on to as life seems to pass us by. Most of her photos are of families and their children so you may think why am I going on about jewelry photos. To some jewelry is something you wear like part of your outfit, but truly mine is so much more than that. Each piece has a special meaning. My clients have come to me with love, laughter, tears, heartache and some with much sorrow. Many friendships have been made as we talk, laugh alot, cried together and even pray for the hope of tomorrow.
