Getting back into the groove!

Hope this new year is treating you well! New things are in the works! Getting back into the groove!! I had taken a bit of time to reflect on my family, friends and business. A much needed time for me!

Our website is in progress of lots of new updates. New photos and shopping carts are also coming soon! Very excited to see what’s to come! As I will attempt to become a blogger (ha!ha!), you must bear with me. I’m not a writer or even an English major for that matter, probably more like a rambler! but I hope you will enjoy the things to come!

One of the things that has been on my heart is becoming more personal with you, my clients. We all have so much to share and I have loved learning and being touched by the stories you have shared with me. It would make my heart happy to share more of your stories on my blog that you have shared with me. You have given me so much love, laughter, hugs, tears and prayers. You have shared your life with me and touched others who have read your stories. You inspire others even in what may be your darkest hour. You’ve made my faith stronger by sharing yours. I’ve said that I want to ”dream big” and you believe in me to do so. You’ve allowed me to pray for you when you felt like you couldn’t. I have learned that when I’ve felt like I can’t pray anymore about a situation you teach me to pray more passionately.

My work is much more than making a piece of jewelry. The purpose behind each piece I create brings me great joy and strength. In saying that I will also be sharing more personal stories about myself . It’s become my passion to touch the hearts of others. Though I fall from grace often my motto is “progress not perfection”.

Well, she out did herself again!! Christie Lacy amazes me everytime she pulls out her camera! She has such a vision and God given talent to see things through a lens that most people will never see. It’s more than a picture, it’s a moment in time! It’s a blink of an eye, something to hold on to as life seems to pass us by. Most of her photos are of families and their children so you may think why am I going on about jewelry photos. To some jewelry is something you wear like part of your outfit, but truly mine is so much more than that. Each piece has a special meaning. My clients have come to me with love, laughter, tears, heartache and some with much sorrow. Many friendships have been made as we talk, laugh alot, cried together and even pray for the hope of tomorrow. I have been blessed by so many. Thank you to all those who inspire me! Thank you again Christie for all your hard work! I’m honored to call you friend!!

I’m so thankful to have the kind of friends that make you want to be a better person. The ones that help you grow in faith. Do you have one of those kind of friends that shine the light of the Lord so bright that you can see Jesus in there face? Well, if you saw my friend Melissa share her love with the children at the preschool I work at, you would see the perfect picture of Matthew 19:14. (Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.) The joy and laughter she brings to these children by sharing God’s word is priceless.
Now Melissa has shared something so personal with me, a letter to her mother. It truly has touched my heart…she writes…

Tricia,
This is the note to my mom that I gave to her along with her necklace. It’s very personal and it just flowed and once I finished writing, I realized that I really wanted to share this note with you too. I have no doubt I picked the exact necklace that I needed to give to my mom for her birthday. I love that you, a dear friend, made this for my mother even when you didn’t know it was for her. Thank you for making this necklace for my mom – she means the world to me.

Here’s the note:
Mom,
Happy Birthday! Like me, I know you don’t want a big deal made out of this day – but those who love you like to celebrate your life.

This necklace I got for you is special so let me explain. First, it was custom made by a friend of mine. She makes each piece of jewelry with love & prayer and no two pieces are exactly alike. This necklace is unique like you. There is no one like you.

Next, the necklace says, “Blessed” because you are blessed. But also because I feel so incredibly blessed to have you in my life – to have you as a mother to me, a grandmother to my children and also to have you as a friend. Blessed…

And the heart – because you have a beautiful heart full of love that you willingly share with others.

Last, it all sits on a cross. The cross started out as a smooth piece of copper – perfect. But then it was hammered, changed, bent, no longer perfect & smooth. That’s what life does to us – not even perfect to begin with and then life adds more bumps & bends – some easy, some hard. But the cross redeems, saves, forgives and loves.

Team Tiara made the news!!!

I met D’Lynn Biggs about two years ago, shorty after her mother passed away from breast cancer. Since her loss she has had a passion to inspire, dream and believe that one day there will be a cure!! She and so many others raise awareness, money for research and the spirits of those that are, have been or will be impacted by cancer. Think about it! You or someone you know has been affected by this horrible disease! Check out their website at www.teamtiara.net! These women share their laughter, heartache, inspiration…there FEET!! Did you know they walk 60 miles in three days!!!??? People call them crazy!! They just wouldn’t have it any other way!!
